I’m a 26 year old mother of a single child, Taeen. I’m a mom by day and a busy bee by night.
I have lived my entire life in the Gulf – UAE to be exact, except when I had to join college in India in 2012 and decided that I pretty much want to settle down here. So eight years down the lane, here I am, currently living in Kerala with my daughter and husband.
Living along the coast line, our weekend mornings are either ‘an early morning beach trip’ or ‘a stay at home, cook a special meal to Netflix and binge’ kinda day.
On a free day, you’ll find me with a book and a cup of coffee in hand. My mornings usually start with coffee and I’m found to be quite grumpy until I’ve had one.
I’m more of a savory and spice kind of girl than sweet. I love eating chaats ( pani puri, pav bhaji, vada pav etc. you get the idea right?) and I miss that the most in this 2020 pandemic.
An architect by profession, I freelance during the weekends but my heart and soul lies in everything kids. Architecture has honed my creativity skills over the years and I intend to put it to good use.
I stumbled upon sensory play when my child was just turning two and it’s been a fun journey for us so far, which is why I wanted to share it with you. Our journey has ups and downs like every other relationship out there and I only hope we can be as transparent and be of support to all other parents too. All the products that we have tried together and loved will be updated in my blog posts.
I’m known for my bright colors, sometimes going neon, dressing sense and even though I might look outgoing, I’m actually quite shy. If you’ve had the pleasure to meet me and if I’ve ever seemed standoffish, please don’t write me off yet. I warm up to people quickly once I get to know them. In fact, my best friend introduces me and ditches me at hangouts so I would talk to people. She of course also looks out for me just in case she needs to bail me out in the end. HaHa.
At present, after going back and forth on it several times, I’ve decided to take the plunge on something special with the help of my husband and we have introduced our sensory kits.
Follow me on social media to have an insight into our daily lives and stay tuned for more. Thank you for stopping by and I hope we get to chat soon. Take care.
Love,
Rifa Abdulla
